Specialty
Creating Specialty/Custom pieces is something I love to do! I love the collaboration with my customers, and I love knowing that my customer is going to really love every aspect of their piece.
Some examples of my Specialty/Custom work and the stories behind them are shown below.
The Wedding Party
A friend of mine was getting married and wanted necklaces for all of her bridesmaids. The Theme Colors were Purple & Black, snd she liked the idea of Amethyst Stones.
After speaking quite a bit, back and forth, she decided on the heartshaped wire wrap design. We finished it off with some black cotton cord witha pull string design so that the girls could adjust the lengths of the necklaces to their desire.
The Holly Hop
My cousin, Katie, had held a home show for me earlier in the summer with all of her friends from her High School. I had mentioned to the girls my custom work, and that I could design pieces to go with an outfit. Sure enough for their winter school dance, The Holly Hop, both my cousin and a friend of hers, Christa, wanted necklaces designed to go with thier dresses. They emailed me pictures of their dresses, and a general description of what they were looking for and a price range that they'd like to stay within.

Design # 1

Christa was looking for something short, but not quite a choker, and wanted to include black, pink & silver. Since the dress was pink with a black sash, we decided to make the majority of the necklace black, with just a hint of pink. I added some black crystals and silver spacer beads.
Design # 2
Katie's dress was a little more subtle, so she wanted a bigger bang with the necklace. Her only request was for it to have a silver base, to match her shoes. We decided to go with Opalite semi-precious chips, and greyish/purple faux pearls, and hamered chain. I decided to make it a double layer necklace with different lengths to give it a little more
fullness.
I finished both necklaces off with a fancy box clasp, as they told me both of them would be wearing their hair up. I threw in a pair of matching earrings for my cousin for free, just for thinking of me, and to give her something just a little extra!

The Teacher's Pet
My Aunt was asked me to create a lariat for her school ID tag. She mentioned that she liked Turquoise, and let me run with that.

I played around with some Turquoise, Black, & silver, and the decided to add a little green, to
compliment the Turquoise.
Once I decided on the basic design, I came up with the idea of creating a multi purpose piece.
Here, I've created the lariat that Amy wanted, but added toggle clasps through out the piece. This, in turn, gave Amy 3 accessory choices. When all the pieces are connected, she gets the ID Lariat. When she disassembles the lariat, and takes off her ID tag, She can wear the the fist half of the Lariet as Lariat
a bracelet, and the second half as a necklace.
